Vintage boards are where Gary’s history as a shaper shows most. These are shapes drawn from the late 1960s through the 1980s — twin fins, single fins, pintails, and hull designs that rode differently from anything being made today. Gary shaped through all of it, and these boards reflect that.
Each board on this page is built with the same materials Gary uses across his whole lineup — balsa, agave, or polyurethane — but the outlines and rocker profiles come from a different era. They’re not novelty pieces. They’re functional surfboards that happen to be shaped around templates that most shapers stopped cutting decades ago.
